HISTORY

Founded in 1966 by Cecil Crew and Tom Davidson, two members of Yorba Linda Country Club, the OCSGA is a group of mostly retired professionals (ages 50 and over) that has been promoting first-class golf and unmatched camaraderie for the last 54 years. Today comprised of over 100 members from several private golf country clubs and public golf courses throughout Orange County (and contiguous counties,) OCSGA hosts one-day tournaments per year at some of Southern California’s premier private golfing venues. In addition to the one-day events (typically held on Monday mornings,) OCSGA also hosts several multi-day local tournaments, one 5-day travel tournament and one 3-day local travel tournament per year. Recent past destinations include The Greenbrier, Barton Creek in Austin, The Fairmont Orchid Hawaii, Quail Lodge, and The Lodge at Torrey Pines. In 2024, OCSGA travels to the Ojai Valley Inn June, and to the Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee in November.
